January 26 (SeeNews) - Japanese company Meiji Holdings Co said it has entered into talks to participate in the establishment of a Japanese-Bulgarian centre for the research and development (R&D) of new dairy products.
The company cannot provide details as discussions have just started, Meiji public relations officer Hiroshi Tachibana told SeeNews via an email on Wednesday.
According to a recent statement by the Bulgarian economy ministry, the planned centre will be a joint project between Meiji and Bulgarian state-owned dairy producer LB Bulgaricum.
LB Bulgaricum said earlier this month it plans to invest at least 5 million levs ($2.78 million/2.55 million euro) in 2023 to expand its market presence.
