May 21 (SeeNews) - Belgian-owned retailer Mega Image Romania said that it plans to open five new stores by the end of this month.
The retailer is set to open two new stores in Iasi, two in Bucharest and one in Chiajna, near Bucharest, it said in a press release on Wednesday.
Earlier this month, Mega Image opened two stores in Cluj, a concept store in Timisoara, and one store each in Iasi, Oradea and Bacau.
Thus, the retailer will open a total eleven new units in May, increasing the number of its outlets to 787.
During the January-April period, Mega Image has opened 18 new stores in Romania.
Mega Image is controlled by Belgian-Dutch food retailer Ahold Delhaize.
Mega Image entered Romania in 2015, where it currently operates three kinds of stores: regular, Shop&Go and Gusturi Romanesti.
