April 11 (SeeNews) - Romanian private healthcare services provider MedLife [BSE:M] led the decliners among the blue chips on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) on Tuesday, bourse data showed.
The total equity turnover of the BVB fell to 13.35 million lei ($3.1 million/2.9 million euro) from 28.9 million lei on Monday.
Medlife was the top blue-chip decliner, losing 2.82% to 31 lei in 96,354 lei turnover.
Blue-chip lender Banca Transilvania [BSE: TLV] rose 0.36% to 2.7750 lei in the day's largest turnover of 4.99 million lei.
Romanian power supplier and distributor Electrica [BSE:EL] climbed 0.70% to 14.3 lei in the day's second largest turnover of 2.39 million lei.
Investment fund SIF Banat Crisana [BSE: SIF 1] lost 1.66% to 1.89 lei and posted the day's third largest turnover of 1.87 million lei.
On Tuesday, Netherlands-based telecoms company Cable Communications Systems, the majority owner of Romanian company RCS&RDS, said it intends to list up to 25% of its shares on the Bucharest Stock Exchange through an initial public offering (IPO) in May.
