June 8 (SeeNews) - The Romanian arm of Swedish healthcare chain Medicover has invested 31.5 million euro ($33.7 million) in the construction of a new multidisciplinary hospital in Bucharest, a company spokesman told SeeNews via e-mail on Thursday.
The hospital spans nine floors with a total surface area of over 22,000 sq m and features 200 beds, seven operating rooms, and a da Vinci surgical system, Medicover Romania said in a separate press release on Wednesday.
The Medicover Group is a NASDAQ Sweden-listed international chain of private healthcare clinics. The company operates clinics across Europe and India and employs over 38,000. In Romania, the company has been present since 1995 and currently owns 41 clinics, 5 hospitals, 25 on-site offices, and over 250 partner medical units.
