January 3 (SeeNews) - Global fast food company McDonald's has closed its operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina after Gliese 581g, the local franchise holder of the brand, lost its licence, local media reported.
McDonald's closed its three restaurants in Sarajevo and its two restaurants in Mostar on December 31, Radio Sarajevo reported on Sunday.
In December, a Sarajevo court ordered the franchisee to return a property to the local branch of Raiffeisen Bank due to accumulated debt of about 500,000 euro ($529,960), according to the report.
McDonald's opened its first restaurant in Bosnia in 2011.
