December 18 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's defence ministry said that it has awarded two four-year framework agreements for the supply of helmets and bulletproof vests, worth a total of 3.8 million levs ($2.2 million/1.9 million euro), to local company MARS Armor.
The agreement for the bulletproof vests is worth some 3.3 million levs, while the other deal is worth 500,000 levs, the defence ministry said in a notice.
The public procurement procedures for the contracts attracted four offers each.
MARS Armor specialises in the production of helmets, bulletproof vests, ballistic shields, demining and explosive ordnance disposal equipment.
