August 26 (SeeNews) - Croatian company Top Digital Agency (TDA) said it has received the maiden investment of the newest venture capital fund in the country - Fil Rouge Capital (FRC).
FRC is leading TDA's second investment round of 8 million kuna ($1.2 million/1.1 million euro), which follows the company's first investment round of 3.1 million kuna completed in April, TDA said in a statement on Friday.
"We are happy that this investment gives us financial stability for the upcoming period, so we can focus completely on what we do best – growing our company”, TDA CEO and founder, Goran Deak, said in the statement.
TDA says it is the first global marketplace that connects companies and digital agencies, functioning as an online dating site.
To date, it has had more than 4,000 agencies from more than 110 countries across the globe and plans to continue expanding its business thanks to the investment of FRC, which has launched operations in July after completing a 45 million euro fundraise.
“We are very happy to see the years of efforts in our establishment take a concrete turn with our first investment in Croatia. In Goran and the team, we saw a very strong capacity to disrupt the market and this is one of our key investment criteria,” said Stevica Kuharski, a partner at FRC.
FRC invests only in Croatian start-up companies, at the early-stage of their business from pre-seed through acceleration to companies seeking much bigger financing, which are ready for full-blown venture capital investment.
