April 13 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Macedonia increased by an annual 13% to 90,529 in the January-February period, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
The number of domestic tourists rose 6.3% year-on-year to 33,757 in the first two months of 2018, whereas the number of international visitors increased 17.4% to 56,772, the statistical office said in a statement.
The number of overnights spent by tourists in Macedonia in the review period increased 17.2% year-on-year, reaching 196,625.
Out of the total number of foreign tourists who visited Macedonia in February, 11.7% came from Greece, 10.7% from Serbia and 10.3% from Kosovo.
