December 4 (SeeNews) - Passenger traffic through the international airport of Macedonia's capital Skopje rose by 20.8% year-on-year to 49,279 travellers in October , the airport said on Tuesday.
Cargo traffic through the airport increased by an annual 13.8% to 220.21 tonnes in October. Take-offs and landings fell to 1,089, down by 1.0% from the same month a year earlier.
In October, 14 airlines operated scheduled flights from the Skopje Airport to 16 destinations, mainly in southeastern and western Europe. Six carriers performed charter flights to 11 destinations, mainly tourist centres in Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey and Greece in October.
