November 21 (SeeNews) - The gross foreign exchange reserves held by Macedonia's central bank, NBRM, rose to 1.522 billion euro ($2.3 billion) at the end of September from 1.485 billion euro a month earlier, the NBRM said on Wednesday.
Compared to end-2006, the foreign exchange reserves grew by 105.4 million euro, NBRM’s data showed.
The reason for the increase is the central bank's purchasing of foreign currency, MBRM said in a statement posted on its website.
