SKOPJE (Macedonia), July 20 (SeeNews) – Macedonia's real net wage increased by 5.3% year-on-year in May, after growing by an annual 4.1% in April, the national statistical office, Makstat, said on Friday.
In nominal terms, the average net wage in Macedonia grew 7.1% to 24,509 denars ($461.2/396.6 euro) in May, after increasing 5.6% in April, Makstat said in a statement.
On a monthly comparison basis, the average nominal net wage in Macedonia increased by 2.4% in May.
The strongest annual wage growth in May in nominal terms, of 23.1%, was registered in accommodation and food service activities, followed by financial and insurance activities with 17.4%.
