October 21 (SeeNews) - Macedonia's real average net monthly wage increased 2.2% year-on-year in August, after growing by 2.5% in the previous month, data from the country's statistics office showed on Friday.
In nominal terms, the average net wage in Macedonia grew by 1.9% on the year in August, reaching 22,294 denars ($394.4/362 euro).
The growth was mainly due to an increase of salaries in the sectors of construction, administrative services and manufacturing.
On a monthly comparison basis, net wages declined by a real 0.2% and a nominal 0.1% in August.
