SKOPJE (Macedonia), April 16 (SeeNews) – Macedonian meat processing company Pekabesko will provide distribution services to local dairy Balkanska Mlekara under a five-year deal it signed with the dairy's owner, Turkey's Sutas, the country's economic chamber said.
Balkanska Mlekara, formerly Swedmilk, will launch operations next month with a processing capacity of 180 tonnes of milk per day, the chamber said on Monday quoting Sutas general manger for Macedonia, Ali Musfik Sozer.
Sutas has invested 10 million euro ($13.1 million) in its Macedonian dairy so far and plans additional investment of 5.0 million euro by the end of 2013. Its staff is to increase from 50 to 200.
Pekabesko has a distribution network of 40 vehicles and over 50 employees. It also has a 4,000-square meters of warehouse space.
Sutas acquired bankrupt Swedmilk in April last year.
