December 7 (SeeNews) - The estimated value of construction projects covered by building permits issued in Macedonia grew by 19.9% on the month to 1.906 billion denars ($46.3 million/31.3 million euro) in October, the country's Statistics Office said on Monday.
Year-on-year, their value increased by 52.9%.
A total of 269 construction permits were issued in October, up 14% on the month but 28.7% less than a year earlier. They included 199 permits issued to individuals and 70 granted to companies, the statistics office said in a statement.
The total number of building permits issued in September included 196 permits for buildings, 21 for civil engineering projects and 52 for reconstruction projects.
