May 14 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Macedonia in March dropped by 13.5% on the year to 26,389 after falling by an annual 6.3% a month earlier, data of the country's Statistics Office showed.
In March, tourist overnights fell by an annual 2.6% to 57,255 with foreigners accounting for 29,167 of the total, the statistics office said in a statement.
A total of 78,309 tourists visited Macedonia in the first quarter of 2010, down by 14.2% on the year. Overnights decreased by an annual 8.9% to 177,584 over the same period.
