SKOPJE (Macedonia), August 27 (SeeNews) – Macedonia's industrial production rose 5.9% on the year in July after increasing by an annual 4.9% a month earlier, the country’s statistics office said on Wednesday.
In the the mining and quarrying sector the industrial output fell by an annual 12% in July, whereas the electricity, gas and heating energy supply sector posted a 7.6% annual decline, the statistics office said in a statement posted on its website.
In the manufacturing industry, output rose by an annual 10.4% in July.
In 2013 Macedonia's industrial output increased 3.2% after falling 6.6% a year earlier.
