September 7 (SeeNews) - The estimated value of construction projects covered by building permits issued in Macedonia grew by a hefty 23% on the month to 1.75 billion denars ($40.4 million/28.2 million euro) in July, the country's Statistics Office said on Monday.
Year-on-year, their value decreased by 67.4%.
A total of 259 construction permits were issued in July, up 2.8% on the month and 7.8% less than a year earlier. They included 227 permits issued to individuals and 32 granted to companies, the statistics office said in a statement.
The total number of building permits issued in July included 224 permits for buildings, nine for civil engineering projects and 26 for reconstruction projects.
