March 14 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Macedonia in January rose by 8.6% on the year to 28,096, after jumping by an annual 26.5% a month earlier, data of the country's Statistics Office showed on Monday.
Tourist overnights fell by 2.2% to 58,047 in January, with foreigners accounting for nearly half of the total, the statistics office said in a statement.
