November 12 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists who visited Macedonia in the nine months through September rose by 11.2% to 672,286, the country's statistics office said on Thursday.
In the January-September period, domestic tourists numbered 275,915, up 5.6% as compared to the same period last year, the statistics office said in a statement.
Foreign tourists rose by 15.4% to 396,371 in the January-September period.
In the period under review, tourist overnights rose 9.1% to 2.1 million.
In September alone, tourists numbers grew by an annual 20% to 79,218, as they spent 184,262 overnights, up by 17.7%.
