October 26 (SeeNews) - Macedonia posted a budget deficit of 9.1 billion denars ($161.4 million/147.8 million euro) for the January-September period, compared to a shortfall of 13.9 billion denars a year ago, according to preliminary data from the finance ministry.
The improvement was caused by higher tax revenue, the data posted on the website of the ministry indicated.
Total revenue rose 7.2% year-on-year to 125.8 billion denars, while total expenditure increased 2.7% to 134.9 billion denars.
