January 4 (SeeNews) - Macedonia's trade deficit increased by 4% year-on-year to 97.6 billion denars ($1.66 billion/1.59 billion euro) in the first eleven months of 2016, the statistical office said on Wednesday.
Exports rose 5.4% to 241.9 billion denars, while imports grew 5.2% to 339.5 billion denars, the statistical office said in a statement.
In November alone, Macedonian exports fell 2.5% year-on-year to 21.6 billion denars, while imports edged up 0.1% to 32.2 billion denars.

Macedonia exports mainly supported catalysts, ignition wiring sets and other wiring sets used in motor vehicles, aircraft or ships, as well as ferro-nickel and clothes. The country imports platinum and platinum alloys, other metals, petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals.
Macedonia's main trading partners in the first eleven months of the year were Germany, Great Britain, Serbia, Greece and Bulgaria.
