July 3 (SeeNews) - Macedonia posted a budget deficit of 5.3 billion denars ($98.6 million/86.8 million euro) in the first five months of 2017, compared to a shortfall of 6.3 billion denars in the like period of 2016, according to data from the finance ministry.
The declinewas mainly due to increased total revenue, preliminary figures posted on the website of the ministry indicated.
Total budget revenue increased 6.3% year-on-year, to 73.1 billion denars, while total expenditure grew 4.5% to 78.5 billion denars.
