April 18 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Macedonia in the first two months of 2012 rose by 3.7% on the year to 57,291, the country's statistics office said.
Tourist overnights increased by 2.1% to 123,927 through February, with foreign nationals accounting for 63,582 of the total, the office said in a statement published on its website last week.
In February alone, a total of 23,543 tourists visited Macedonia, down by 13.3% on the year, while overnights decreased by an annual 16.5% to 52,884.
