October 4 (SeeNews) - Macedonian blue-chip construction company Granit [MSE:GRNT] said on Tuesday it has signed a 305.62 million denars ($5.58 million/5 million euro) contract for the modernisation of the road section Negotino-Demir Kapija, in the country's southeast.
Reconstruction and rehabilitation works should be completed within 42 months, Granit said in a bourse fliling.
The section is part of Macedonia's A1 national road which connects the northern part of the country to the southeastern part. A1 is part of European route E75, which stretches from Norway's city of Vardo to Greece's Sitia.
Granit [MSE:GRNT] shares closed at 537 denars on Monday, unchanged from the previous session, as 100 company shares traded on the Macedonian Stock Exchange.
