December 12 (SeeNews) - Macedonia's economy expanded by a real 4.1% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2014, compared to a preliminary 2.5% annual increase a year earlier, estimated figures of the country's statistics office indicated on Friday.
Macedonia's gross domestic product (GDP) totalled 133.3 billion denars ($2.7 billion/2.2 billion euro) at current prices in the third quarter, compared to 129.7 billion denars a year earlier, the statistics office said in a statement citing estimated figures.
In the second quarter, Macedonia's economy expanded by a revised 4.4% year-on-year in real terms, compared to an annual increase of a revised 2.1% a year earlier.
In 2013 Macedonia's economy expanded by 2.7% in real terms, after contracting by 0.5% a year earlier, according to preliminary data.
