March 9 (SeeNews) - Macedonia's economy expanded by an estimated 2.4% in 2016, reaching 433.4 billion denars ($7.44 billion/7.05 billion euro) after growing by 3.8% in 2015, figures from the national statistical office showed on Thursday.
Exports of good and services increased by 11.5% in 2016, according to figures posted on the website of the statistical office.
Macedonia's final consumption grew by an estimated 3.7% in 2016, as household consumption increased by 4.2% and general government consumption edged up 1.6%.
Gross capital formation in 2016 fell by 4.3%.
In the fourth quarter alone, Macedonia's economy expanded by the same pace - of 2.4%.
