June 22 (SeeNews) - Macedonian forwarding company Makosped has repurchased 48,606 of its own shares, representing a 6.16% stake, in a single transaction, the company announced on Thursday.
Following the transaction concluded on June 19, Makosped owns 9.99% of its issued share capital, company said in a statement.
The transaction was worth 24.06 million denars ($436,900/391.741 euro), bourse data showed.
The share repurchase is in line with the company's decision to buy back shares equivalent to no more than 10% of the issued share capital, announced on the latest shareholder meeting on May 30.
The company has 788,424 shares issued.
In 2016, Makosped booked a net profit of 11.4 million denars on an operating revenue of 70.1 million denars.
Makosped, which was established in 1946, offers transport and warehousing services.
