April 13 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Macedonia in February dropped by 6.3% on the year to 26,048 after falling by an annual 21.5% a month earlier, data of the country's Statistics Office showed on Wednesday.
In February, tourist overnights grew by an annual 4.9% to 61,000 with foreigners accounting for 26,765 of the total, the statistics office said in a statement.
A total of 51,920 tourists visited Macedonia in the first two months of 2010, down by 14.5% on the year. Overnights decreased by an annual 11.6% to 120,329 over the same period.
