SKOPJE (Macedonia), January 17 (SeeNews) – The business confidence indicator in Macedonia's manufacturing sector rose 1.5 percentage points year-on-year in December but fell on a monthly comparison basis, the country's statistical office said.
The business confidence index in manufacturing fell 0.5 percentage points month-on-month in November, Makstat said on Wednesday in a statement on the results of a survey conducted among local managers.
“The situation with the current volume of production orders in December 2018 is less favourable compared to the previous month, the expectations for the production volume for the next three months are less favourable and the stocks of finished goods have decreased compared to November 2018," the statistical office said.
Managers expect the number of employees in the manufacturing sector to decrease over the following months.
