January 12 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Macedonia decreased by 37% year-on-year to 229 in November, the state statistical office said on Friday.
The estimated value of the construction projects covered by building permits issued in November fell by an annual 73% to 1.6 billion denars ($31.5 million/26.0 million euro), the statistical office said in a statement.
In November, a total of 140 permits were issued for new buildings, 16 for civil engineering projects, and 73 for reconstruction projects.
Of the total number of permits issued in November, 168 were issued to private individuals.
During the review period, 306 dwellings were planned for construction, with a total usable floor area of 29,818 sq. m.
