July 7 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Macedonia decreased by 17.5% year-on-year to 241 in May, the national statistical office said on Friday.
The estimated value of the construction projects covered by building permits issued in May fell by 26% to 3.7 billion denars ($68.7 million/60.2 million euro). A total of 133 permits were issued for new buildings, 39 for civil engineering projects, and 69 for reconstruction projects in May.
During the review period, 1,078 dwellings were planned for construction, with total usable floor area of 79,477 sq m. Of the total, 135 permits were issued to individuals in May.
