August 14 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Macedonia decreased by 16.1% year-on-year to 230 in June, the national statistical office said on Monday.
The estimated value of the construction projects covered by building permits issued in June fell by 13.6% to 3.8 billion denars ($72.9 million/61.8 million euro), the statistical office said in a statement.
In June, a total of 158 permits were issued for new buildings, 19 for civil engineering projects, and 53 for reconstruction projects. Of the total number of permits issued in June 155 were issued to private individuals.
During the review period, 927 dwellings were planned for construction, with a total usable floor area of 68,433 sq m.
