October 20 (SeeNews) - Macedonia's real average net monthly wage increased 0.9% year-on-year in August, after rising 0.3% in the previous month, the national statistical office, Makstat, said on Friday.
In nominal terms, the average net wage in Macedonia grew 2.8% in August, reaching 22,912 denars ($440.29/373 euro), Makstat said in a statement.
The strongest wage growth was registered in the sectors of mining and quarrying, entertainment and recreation, and professional, scientific and technical activities.
On a monthly comparison basis, net wages increased by a real 0.7% in August.
