February 27 (SeeNews) - Macedonian drug maker Alkaloid [MSE:ALK] said on Friday its consolidated net profit edged up 3% to 618.4 million denars ($11.4 million/10 million euro) in 2014.
Consolidated sales revenue rose by 4% to 7.4 billion denars in 2014, while operating profit increased 8% to 775.7 million denars, Alkaloid said in a consolidated income statement filed with the Macedonian Stock Exchange.
Sales abroad rose by 6% to 4.2 billion denars in 2014 accounting for 57% of total sales.
Total investments in fixed assets amounted 477.2 million denars last year, the company also said.
Skopje-based Alkaloid is a component of the bourse's blue-chip MBI index. The company has two subsidiaries in Macedonia, as well as 14 subsidiaries and four representative offices abroad.
