November 12 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Macedonia in the first nine months of 2012 rose by 2.5% on the year to nearly 546,000, the country's statistics office said on Monday.
Tourist overnights decreased by an annual 1.7% to some 1.9 million through September, with foreign nationals accounting for over 663,000 of the total, the statistics office said.
In September alone, a total of 60,428 tourists visited Macedonia, up by 3.1% on the year, while overnights rose by an annual 13.9% to 166,343.
