February 28 (SeeNews) - Macedonia's current account deficit widened to 303.3 million euro ($320.9 million) in 2016, from 187 million euro in 2015, the central bank, NBRM, said on Tuesday.
The higher deficit came mainly as a result of a larger gap in primary income, figures published on the website of NBRM showed.
In December alone, the current account deficit declined 23.7% to 55.9 million euro, reflecting a smaller trade gap and positive balance in the services sector.
NBRM has revised the data for November current account balance to a deficit of 62 million euro.
