January 14 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Macedonia in the first eleven months of 2012 rose by 2.9% on the year to over 632,000, the country's statistics office said on Monday.
Tourist overnights decreased by an annual 1.0% to some 2.1 million through November, with foreign nationals accounting for nearly 780,000 of the total, the statistics office said in a statement.
In November alone, a total of 34,756 tourists visited Macedonia, up by 5.9% on the year, while overnights rose by an annual 11.4% to 80,580.
