October 16 (SeeNews) - Macedonian share indices climbed in higher turnover this week, bourse data showed on Friday.
The MBI-10 index, which tracks the 10 blue-chip companies on the Macedonian Stock Exchange JSC MSE, closed at 3,539.00 points, up 1.1% from last Friday. The broader MBID index, which comprises the 11 most liquid stocks, added 10.1% from last Friday to 3,931.87.
The MSE's total turnover rose to 187.3 million denars ($4.5 million/3.1 million euro) in four days of trading this week from 132. 6 million denars a week earlier. Macedonian bourse was closed on Monday, following the celebration of the Day of Uprising on October 11.
Turnover on the bourse's official floor rose to 149.6 million denars from 102.5 million denars last week. Turnover on the unofficial floor increased to 37.7 million denars from 30.1 million denars.
Drug company Alkaloid AD Skopje was most traded company this week, recording a turnover of 27.7 million denars.
