November 15 (SeeNews) - Macedonian steel mill Makstil [MSE:STIL] said that its net profit fell by an annual 45% to 2 million denars ($37,000/33,000 euro) in the January-September period.
Makstil's total operating revenue grew 19% to 4.73 billion denars in the first nine months of the year, the company said in an interim financial statement on Wednesday.
Sales abroad gained 22% on the year to 3.94 billion denars, while domestic sales added 5% to 746.9 million denars.
The company's operating expenses increased 20% year-on-year to 4.61 billion denars in the review period.
Financial revenue dropped 13% to 27.7 million denars, while financial expenses fell 10% to 74.1 million denars.
Makstil produces hot rolled heavy plates. Its major shareholder is Duferco Group, which operates in steel production and distribution, trade of energy, shipping and logistics, and engineering.
