November 9 (SeeNews) - Macedonian steel mill Makstil said on Thursday its non-consolidated net profit rose to 3.6 million denars ($67,860/58,530 euro) in the January-September period from 1.5 million denars in the same period last year.
Operating revenue grew by an annual 48% to 3.97 billion denars in the first nine months of the year, Makstil said in a bourse filing.
The company’s operating expenses increased by 36% year-on-year to 3.85 billion denars in the period under review.
Financial revenue rose by an annual 6% to 31.9 million denars, while financial expenses increased 43% on the year to 82.5 million denars.
Makstil produces hot rolled heavy plates. Its major owner is Duferco Group, which is based in New York, USA, and Sao Paulo, Brazil. The group operates in steel production and distribution, trade of energy, shipping and logistics, and engineering.
