February 27 (SeeNews) - Macedonia's sole oil refinery Okta [MSE:OKTA] said on Friday its net loss widened to 504 million denars (9.2 million/8.2 million euro) in 2014 from 150 million denars a year earlier due to the fall in oil prices on global markets in the fourth quarter.
Sales revenue fell by 16% to 21.8 billion denars in 2014 while operating loss increased 85% to 349 million denars, Okta said in a financial statement filed with the Macedonian Stock Exchange.
Okta is majority-owned by EL.P.ET. Balkaniki, a subsidiary of Greek oil group Hellenic Petroleum.
