June 13 (SeeNews) - Macedonia's economy expanded by a real 3.9% in the first quarter of 2014, compared to a 2.4% increase a year earlier, estimate figures of the country's statistics office indicated on Friday.
Macedonia's gross domestic product (GDP) totalled 108.9 billion denars ($2.4 billion/1.8 billion euro) at current prices in the first quarter, compared to 102.9 billion denars a year earlier, the statistics office said in a statement.
In 2013 Macedonia's economy expanded by a real 3.1%, compared to a contraction of 0.4% a year earlier.
