March 14 (SeeNews) - Macedonia's economy expanded by a real 3.1% in 2013, compared to a contraction of 0.4% a year earlier, an estimate released by the country's statistics office indicated on Friday.
Macedonia's 2013 gross domestic product (GDP) totalled 474.2 billion denars ($10.7 billion/7.7 billion euro) at current prices, compared to 458.6 billion denars a year earlier, the statistics office said in a statement.
In the fourth quarter alone, Macedonia's economy expanded by a real 3.2% on the year after posting zero growth in the same quarter of 2012.
