February 28 (SeeNews) - Macedonian drug maker Alkaloid said on Tuesday its 2016 consolidated net profit grew 10% to 731.9 million denars ($12.6 million/11.9 million euro).
Total operating revenues increased 4% reaching 8.6 billion denars in 2016, the company said in a bourse filing.
Sales revenues grew 6% to 8.3 billion denars during 2016, as exports generated as much as 60% of sales revenue.
Countries of Southeastern Europe accounted for 34% of the company's sales in 2016, whereas 17% of the sales were generated in Western Europe countries. Sales in Russia and the CIS represented 6% of all sales, Alkaloid said in a separate statement also filed with the bourse.
Investments in fixed assets totalled 712.3 million denars
Skopje-based Alkaloid is a component of the Macedonian bourse blue-chip index and the SEELinX of the regional SEE Link securities trading platform.
The company has two subsidiaries in Macedonia, as well as subsidiaries and representative offices in Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia and the US.
