SKOPJE (Macedonia), May 14 (SeeNews) – Macedonian cement plant Usje [MSE:USJE] said on Wednesday its net profit more than doubled to 301.4 million denars ($6.7 million/4.9 million euro) in the first quarter of 2014 from 140.6 million denars a year ago.
Operating income rose by 49% on the year to 841.9 million denars in the first quarter while operating costs increased by an annual 8.0% to 568.5 million denars, Usje said in its income statement sent to Macedonian Stock Exchange.
Usje is owned by Greek building materials manufacturer Titan (www.titan.gr).
