SKOPJE (Macedonia), May 28 (SeeNews) – Macedonia will switch to digital terrestrial television from analogue broadcasting on June 1, the government in Skopje said on Tuesday.
Telco ONE, which has been selected to carry out the digital switchover, is conducting the final tests on the platform that will enable all TV stations with which it signs an agreement to broadcast digitally their programme, the government said in a statement quoting ONE’s CEO Ciril Kafol.
All but one of Macedonia's 61 TV stations have applied for a digital broadcasting licence. Of them, 30 will use ONE's platform.
Skopje-based ONE is part of Telekom Slovenije.
