SKOPJE (Macedonia), October 12 (SeeNews) – Macedonia's Public Enterprise for Railway Infrastructure plans to open two tenders for construction and reconstruction works on the Beljakovce – Kriva Palanka railway section at a total value of 140 million euro ($159.1 million), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which will finance the project, said on Monday.
The proposed project will require procurement of works, following a prequalification, and consultancy services for the supervision of the works, EBRD said in a general procurement notice.
Tendering for the contracts is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2016.
The Beljakovce – Kriva Palanka railway section is part of railway Corridor VIII which will ultimately link the Black Sea coast in Bulgaria to the Adriatic coast in Albania.
