September 17 (SeeNews) - The number of unemployed in Macedonia in September rose by 0.5% on the year to 360,607, data of the government's Employment Service Agency showed on Wednesday.
In September the jobless numbered 0.3% less than in August, whereas the newly-employed increased by 20.1% to 141,826.
The Employment Service Agency does not release unemployment rate figures. These are issued quarterly by the country's State Statistics Office.
Macedonia had a labour force of 902,588 in the first quarter of 2007, according to the latest data available.
