SKOPJE (Macedonia), February 20 (SeeNews) – Macedonia’s transport ministry is seeking a consultant for the implementation of a railway upgrade project on pan-European Corridor VIII, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which will finance the project, said on Friday.
The project would involve the rehabilitation of the 30.8 km Kumanovo-Beljakovce railway section, in the east of the country, the EBRD said in a statement
The advisory assignment, estimated at 250,000 euro ($285,000), is expected to begin in the second quarter with overall duration of two years.
Letters of interest should be sent by March 13.
Corridor VIII will ultimately link the Black Sea coast in Bulgaria to the Adriatic coast in Albania.
