SKOPJE (Macedonia), July 19 (SeeNews) – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said on Thursday it is inviting expression of interest for consultancy services to support the implementation of a railway infrastructure project in Macedonia.
The assignment is expected to being in the fourth quarter of 2018 with a total duration of 24 months, the EBRD said in a statement.
The railway project envisages the rehabilitation of a 30.8 km railway section from Kumanovo to Beljakovce, the first section of Corridor VIII in the east of Macedonia, the statement added.
The consultant will have to ensure the successful implementation of the project and support the Project Implementation Unit (“PIU”) during the period of the assignment.
The cost estimate for the assignment is 250,000 euro ($291,000), exclusive of VAT, to be funded by the EBRD Shareholder Special Fund.
